Wednesday, 06 March 2024 | my uttarakhand news | DEHRADUN Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the grounding ceremony of the investment proposals signed during the global investor’s summit-2023. The programme was organised by the Industries department on Tuesday. The CM laid the foundation stones of 11 projects on the occasion. He also handed over appointment letters to 64 candidates in the department on the occasion.  Addressing the gathering the CM said that grounding of projects worth Rs 27,000 crore is being done in the ceremony and projects worth Rs 71,000 crore have been grounded till now. Expressing his gratitude to the entrepreneurs present on the occasion, the CM said that they are brand ambassadors of the State. He said that the dreams from the global investor’s summit are being fulfilled now. Dhami said that grounding of 20 per cent memoranda of understanding inked during the investors summit has been done and the target should now be of 100 per cent grounding.  Dhami said that the State is progressing at a fast pace in the field of infrastructure development. The air, rail and road connectivity is improving. Permission for operation of 42 seater aircraft to Pithoragarh has been given and the process of developing Pantnagar airport to international standards has started.  The CM said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a special affinity towards Uttarakhand due to which the state has got a new identity. In the last 10 years many development works have been done. He said that a new atmosphere of business, development and faith has been created in the State.  The CM said that the State government will seek the support of everyone for grounding of all the MoUs worth Rs 3.56 lakh crore during the global investor’s summit. He averred that Uttarakhand will be developed as a model State.  The Agriculture minister Ganesh Joshi said that Uttarakhand is setting new dimensions of development. The State has an industry friendly environment and has all kinds of infrastructure facilities. The Chief secretary Radha Raturi said that the present decade belongs to Uttarakhand. She said that the State administration has formulated 30 new policies to encourage development. Raturi said that the government has set up a dialogue with the industry and every problem will be solved.  The additional chief secretary Anand Bardhan, Industries secretary Vinay Shankar Pandey, Pawan Agarwal of Naini Papers and RS Yadav from India Glycols Limited also addressed the programme.  The vice president of State infrastructure monitoring council Vishwas Dawar, secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram, special secretary Parag Madhukar Dhakate, director general of Information Banshidhar Tiwari, representatives of different associations and industry attended the programme.
