Quantum Varsity hosts talk by NASA Engineer on “Enough Opportunities in Space”

Roorkee, 20 Nov: The Department of Civil Engineering at Quantum University organised an expert talk, titled “Enough Opportunities in Space”, delivered by NASA Engineer George Gabrielle, here, today. With more than 17 years of experience at the Kennedy Space Center in the United States, he shared valuable insights with students on the rapidly expanding world of space science and engineering.
The session took place at Harmony Hall at 9:15 a.m. and began with a formal welcome, followed by a brief introduction of Gabrielle. His contributions to NASA’s mission operations, engineering systems, and major aerospace infrastructure were highlighted during the opening remarks.
In his talk, Gabrielle discussed the growing global space ecosystem and the increasing demand for skilled engineers who can contribute to space missions. He spoke about NASA’s engineering approach, mission support systems, and the importance of interdisciplinary innovation in space research. He also explained how civil engineering plays a key role in building launch pads, testing facilities, and advanced space structures.
