PIONEEREDGE NEWS SERVICE | Dehradun With Uttarakhand suffering from the destruction caused by a number of disasters, the Rajasthan government has donated a sum of Rs five crore to Uttarakhand government for disaster relief. This amount will be used to provide immediate relief and rehabilitation works in the disaster-affected areas of the State. Meanwhile, at least 165 roads were blocked in various parts of the State on Sunday evening, with the authorities working to restore traffic on these roads. In a letter to his Uttarakhand counterpart Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Rajasthan chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that the State was facing an unfortunate situation. “In these difficult circumstances, we consider the pain of the people of Uttarakhand our own,” he said. Dhami expressed gratitude to Sharma and the Rajasthan government for this assistance. Meanwhile, routine life remained affected by blocked roads and other impacts of heavy rains and landslides in various parts of the State. According to information provided by the State Emergency Operations Centre, a total of 165 roads were reported to be blocked in various parts of the State on Sunday evening. These include 40 in Chamoli district, 31 in Uttarkashi, 26 in Pithoragarh, 24 in Rudraprayag, 15 in Pauri, seven in Tehri, six in Dehradun, five in Bageshwar, four in Nainital,three in Almora, two in Udham Singh Nagar and one each in Champawat and Haridwar.
