A Red Alert has been issued for the district, with the weather department warning of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall and strong winds at some places. Pithoragarh Schools to Remain Closed Schools for Classes 1 to 12 and Anganwadi centres in Pithoragarh district will also remain closed on September 26. One-Day Holiday Declared in Champawat In Champawat, a holiday has been declared for students of Classes 1 to 12 in all government, council-run, aided and recognised private schools on September 26. All Anganwadi centres in the district will also remain closed. The Chief Education Officer and District Programme Officer have been directed to ensure implementation of the order.
