Dalip Sindhi, Director of Sinmit Communications, stated that Miss Uttarakhand has been successfully organised for several years, and considering the growing demand and enthusiasm among women, Mrs Uttarakhand was introduced for the first time. Rajeev Mittal added that the aim of this platform is to provide women with a new opportunity to showcase their talent, personality, and confidence. Ritu Bahuguna, Director of RJ Events, said that after auditions, the selected women were shortlisted and groomed before the grand finale, which was held after various sub-title rounds.
Expressing her views after the fashion show, Dr Bhavana Goyal, Dean of the School of Journalism and Liberal Arts, said that her primary focus has always been women empowerment. She emphasised that such fashion shows provide a platform for women’s creativity, self-reliance, and skills, especially in areas where traditional employment opportunities are limited. She further added that these events promote local crafts, sustainable thinking, and cultural identity on a global platform, helping women become economically empowered and giving Uttarakhand international recognition. According to her, the fashion show was not just an event, but a powerful medium reflecting women’s strength, self-reliance, and social transformation.
The panel of judges included Dr Bhavana Goyal, Badri Chhabra, Alok Joshi, Prem Joshi, and Annie Singh.
Choreographers Jazz Pushkar Soni, Himani Rawat, Ananya Bhandari, and Raj Kaushik provided special support. The complete makeover of the participants was done by JBC Salon, Subhash Road, led by owner Javed and his team.
