Dehradun, 8 Jul: Rotary Club of Dehradun, in collaboration with Himalaya Wellness Company, Dehradun, organised a welfare initiative today wherein 100 Millet Kits were distributed to patients battling Tuberculosis. The distribution took place at NRI Hall, Turner Road, here, in the presence of TB Officer Mukesh Rawat, along with staff members of the Doon Medical College.
The occasion was marked by the participation of eminent Rotarians including Rtn Megha Bansal, President (2026–27), Rtn Patricia Hilton, Rtn Dr S Farooq, Rtn Dr SL Gupta, Rtn Tarun Bhatia, Rtn DC Bansal and several other distinguished members of the Rotary fraternity. Their collective presence underscored the spirit of service and community care.
Addressing the gathering, Dr S Farooq emphasised the importance of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene during the rainy season, particularly for patients with compromised immunity. His words served as a timely reminder of preventive health practices that safeguard vulnerable communities.
This initiative reflects the shared commitment of Himalaya Wellness Company and Rotary Club of Dehradun towards public health, nutrition, and community welfare, reinforcing the values of compassion and service. Soaps and carry bags were also distributed.
