Rozgar Mela organized at ITBP, Seemadwar Campus

Dehradun, 24 Jan: “Rozgar Mela 2026” was organized at the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) Seemadwar Campus, on Saturday. Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways, Ajay Tamta, attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest.

Addressing the gathering, Ajay Tamta said that Rozgar Melas have been organized at 45 centers across various States and Union Territories of the country with the objective of realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat. Through these events, appointment letters have been distributed to 61,000 youth nationwide. He said that such Rozgar Melas were initiated to achieve the goal of providing employment opportunities to young people. The selected candidates will be given training, following which they will be posted to their respective positions.

Through the Rozgar Mela organized at the ITBP Seemadwar campus, appointment letters were distributed to 253 selected youth in various Central Armed Police Forces and other organizations, including the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Assam Rifles, DFS, FSI, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rishikesh, and ISRO. Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended his congratulations and best wishes to the newly appointed youth through virtual mode.

At the conclusion of the program, Tamta expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of the newly appointed youth. He said that due to the tireless efforts of the Prime Minister, work is being carried out promptly across various departments, as a result of which initiatives like the Rozgar Mela are providing employment opportunities to young people in government services.

On this occasion, Savita Kapoor, MLA Garhi Cantt, Dehradun; Manu Maharaj, IPS, Inspector General, Northern Frontier Headquarters (Dehradun); Anand Singh Yerson (Personnel & Administration); Barinderjeet Singh, IPS, Northern Frontier Headquarters; Parminder Singh, Deputy Inspector General, Regional Headquarters (Dehradun); Rinku Thapa, Commandant, 23rd Battalion; and the newly appointed youth were present.
