Ruskin Bond’s health improving, may be discharged from hospital soon

Mussoorie, 14 Dec: The health of renowned writer, children’s author, and novelist Ruskin Bond is reportedly improving. He was admitted to Max Super Speciality Hospital in Dehradun due to mobility issues. Doctors say his condition is under control and he may be discharged soon.Ruskin Bond’s son, Rakesh Bond, explained that his father’s left leg had weakened due to old age, and his weight had increased his walking difficulties. He was admitted to the hospital on 10 December as a precautionary measure. He clarified that apart from the leg problem, he has no other serious health issues. All necessary tests are normal, and he is currently receiving physiotherapy and medical care. Given his continued improvement, he is expected to be discharged soon.Ruskin Bond is renowned in Indian literature for his sensitivity, simplicity, and works about nature. For decades, he has connected children and youth with books. The serenity of the mountains, the innocence of childhood, and the warmth of human relationships are hallmarks of his stories.Even at the age of 91, Ruskin Bond’s popularity remains undiminished. His books continue to appeal to children, young people, and the elderly alike.
