

my uttarakhand news BureauMussoorie, 7 Jan: A young man and woman riding a scooter were injured in a road accident on Mussoorie Road on Wednesday. The accident occurred on the main road about 500 metres ahead of Galogi towards Mussoorie, where a scooter and an Alto car collided head-on. Police said that they received information about the accident through the Police Control Room on Wednesday.
Upon receiving the information, Constable Umesh and Woman Constable Pushpa from the Kolu Khet outpost immediately reached the spot with emergency equipment. They said that upon arrival, they found scooter number UK16-F-5927 and Alto car number UK17-E-7190 in a damaged condition on the road. The car driver was identified as Shivansh, son of Pramod, a resident of New Tehsil, Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh), currently residing at Shuddhowala, Premnagar, Dehradun. All the occupants of the car were found safe and did not sustain any injuries. However, the scooter riders, Vaishali (22 years old) and Adarsh Pandey (21 years old), both residents of Selakui, Dehradun, were injured in the accident. Both sustained injuries to their hands, legs, and other parts of their bodies. The police immediately called the 108 ambulance service and sent both the injured to the hospital for treatment. Traffic was disrupted on the road for some time after the accident, which the police managed to control smoothly. For safety reasons, the police have taken both the damaged vehicles into their custody. The police are investigating the matter. Local residents said that accidents frequently occur on Mussoorie Road due to speeding and sharp turns. People have demanded increased vigilance and traffic control on this route from the administration.
