Dehradun, 6 Mar: An engaging literary evening was held on Wednesday in Dehradun as the Prabha Khaitan Foundation hosted a session of ‘The Write Circle’ featuring acclaimed author Shalini Modi in conversation with Pooja Khanna, Ehsaas Woman of Dehradun.
The event was curated by Ehsaas Woman of Dehradun Pooja Marwah, and took place at Welcomhotel – Madhuban, Dehradun.
The session witnessed the presence of several eminent citizens of Dehradun, literary enthusiasts and members of the cultural community who gathered for an evening of insightful discussion and intellectual exchange.
The conversation explored fascinating themes from Indian mythology and Vedic astrology, drawing connections between ancient scriptures and contemporary life. Author Shalini Modi, known for her deep engagement with the Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas and epics, spoke about how mythological narratives continue to shape our understanding of relationships, emotions and spiritual growth. Her writing often bridges the wisdom of ancient texts with modern perspectives, encouraging readers to discover symbolism and meaning within traditional stories.
During the interaction, questions from the audience revolved around mythological symbolism, the relevance of Vedic astrology in present times, and how ancient knowledge systems continue to guide personal and social understanding.
The author was felicitated at the event by Suman Marwah, along with members of the organising group. The evening concluded with warm appreciation for the author’s work and the enriching discussion that followed.
The Write Circle, an initiative of the Prabha Khaitan Foundation, continues to bring distinguished authors and readers together across cities, creating platforms for meaningful literary conversations and celebrating India’s vibrant intellectual and cultural traditions.
