Spreading the Message of Environmental Conservation through the Prem Taru Programme: Tree Plantation Drive Held at the BHEL Campus –

Haridwar,: Under the Harit Haridwar Campaign initiated by the District Administration, the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samiti, Haridwar, organized a Prem Taru (Tree of Love) plantation programme at the Shiv Temple premises in Sector-4, BHEL, Haridwar. The programme was conducted with the objective of fulfilling Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s noble vision while promoting environmental conservation and sustainable greenery among the public. The campaign is being carried out under the guidance of Dr. Lalit Narayan Mishra, Chief Development Officer of Haridwar and the Nodal Officer for the initiative.
During the programme, Sai devotees planted 10 saplings of Amaltas (Golden Shower Tree) and Gulmohar while chanting the Sai Gayatri and singing devotional bhajans. The organisers informed that the Samiti had also planted 25 saplings of various species at the same location during the previous week, and regular care and maintenance of all the plants is being ensured.

The plantation drive was conducted under the leadership of Prakash Joshi, State Spiritual Coordinator of Uttarakhand, and coordinated by senior Sai devotee Vishal Sharma. A total of 12 volunteers, including Rajesh Kumar, Shubham Dabral, Siddharth Yadav, Shubham Kumar, Bhupendra Singh Kathet, Amit Gupta, Priya Vasudev, Sister Shweta Vashistha, Sister Anjali Gupta and M. Sundariyal, enthusiastically participated in the programme. Reaffirming their commitment to environmental protection, the participants appealed to the public to plant more trees and take responsibility for their proper care and preservation.
