DEHRADUN, 15 Nov: Uttarakhand State Child Welfare Council, Dehradun, celebrated Children‘s Day on Friday November 14, with great enthusiasm at Bal Bhavan here.
On this occasion various competitions were held among the students. Isha secured first position in the speech competition, Kareena secured first position in the painting competition, Sifan Kumar secured second position and Raghav secured third position. In the folk dance competition, Sandhya secured first position, Chandni secured second position and Lucky Sharma secured third position. In the running competition, Anmol secured first position in the girls category, Vaishnavi secured second position and Deep secured third position. In the running competition, Isha secured first position in the boys category, Neelakshi secured second position and Lucky secured third position. In the rope jumping competition, Isha secured first position in the girls category, Neelakshi secured second position and Princey secured third position. In the rope jumping competition, Anshuman secured first position in the boys category, Nitin secured second position and Divyanshu secured third position. In the tug of war competition, Lucky, Chandni, Muskan, Shilpi, Princey and Suhani secured first position in the girls category. In the tug of war competition, Priyanshu Rawat, Nitin Aryan, Aman, Raman, Radha, Harshit and Dilkhush secured first position in the boys category. In the musical chair race competition, Princey secured first position in the boys category, Divyanshi secured second position and Nitin secured third position.
Earlier, Council’s senior vice-president Jagdish Babla, General Secretary, Pushpa Manas, and officials jointly lit the lamp. Council General Secretary, Pushpa Manas, welcomed the Council officials, executive members and life members. The General Secretary spoke in detail about Jawaharlal Nehru’s philosophy of life. Senior vice-president, Jagdish Babla, and former Council General Secretary, VK Domal, also addressed the children.
Chief Guest Dr S Farooq, president of Himalaya Wellness Company, Dehradun, encouraged the children and the public with his blessings and distributed prizes to the winning participants. On this occasion, S Farooq distributed high-quality soaps manufactured by Himalaya Wellness Company, Dehradun, to all the children.
Council vice-president Madhuberi distributed almond chocolates, and General Secretary Pushpa Manas distributed biscuits to each child. Joint Secretary Kamleshwar Prasad Bhatt, Council Life Members. Asha Rani Painuli, Rita Semwal, Anandmani Semwal, Kavita Dutta, Guru Prasad Uniyal, Ramesh Khatri, Vandita, Anganwadi Assistant Babita, students taking computer lessons at Bal Bhavan, and students from Navodaya Vidyalaya were present on this occasion. The program was supported by Yogmber Singh Rawat, Anita Srivastava, Manjeet Singh Rawat, Anuraj Singh Rawat, Nyasha Rawat, and Meenakshi Rawat.
After the distribution of sweets, Council’s General Secretary, Pushpa Manas, thanked everyone for their participation.
