Thursday, 22 AUGUST 2024 | my uttarakhand news | BHARADISAIN The government tabled three ordinances promulgated by it recently in the Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha on the opening day of the Monsoon session on Wednesday. Cabinet minister Subodh Uniyal tabled the Uttarakhand (Uttar Pradesh) Municipality Act 1916 (Amendment) ordinance 2024 in the house. The placing of the ordinance in the house will pave the way for a law under which the damage caused to public property during riots and unrest will be recovered from those who cause the damage. The rioters will have to pay for the expenses incurred on Police and administration in the course of controlling the riots. Uniyal also tabled the Uttarakhand (Uttar Pradesh) Municipal Corporation Act 1959 (Amendment) ordnance – 2024 and Uttarakhand recovery of damages to public and private property ordinance, 2024 in the house.
