Dehradun, 9 Jun: The ACIC UU Foundation and the Division of Research and Innovation inaugurated a One-Month Summer Internship programme for School/UG/PG students in Artificial Intelligence and Tools in collaboration with Digital Byte Solutions on 8 June. The internship programme aims to equip students with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and industry-relevant digital tools.
Present at the inaugural session was the President, Uttaranchal University, Jitender Joshi, along with Vice-Chancellor Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Director – Research & Innovation, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Singh, CEO, ACIC UU Foundation, Prof (Dr) Anita Gehlot, Director-UIT, Prof (Dr) Sumit Chaudhary and Sachin Choudhury from Digital Byte Solutions.
In his inaugural address, Jitendra Joshi appreciated the efforts of the organising teams from ACIC UU Foundation, the Division of Research and Innovation, and Digital Byte Solutions for creating a valuable learning platform for aspiring professionals.
Prof Dharam Buddhi emphasised the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence in transforming industries, research, education, and everyday life. He highlighted the need for students to develop future-ready skills and encouraged participants to make the most of the internship by engaging actively with emerging AI technologies and innovative digital tools.
Prof Rajesh Singh elaborated on the vision and objectives of the internship program. He highlighted the internship’s focus on providing experiential learning opportunities in Artificial Intelligence, machine learning applications, generative AI platforms, data analytics, automation tools, and industry-oriented problem-solving approaches. Prof Anita Gehlot underscored the Foundation’s commitment to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and technological advancement among students.
Representing Digital Byte Solutions, Sachin Choudhury shared insights into current industry trends in Artificial Intelligence and emphasised the growing demand for AI-skilled professionals across sectors. He assured participants of comprehensive industry exposure and practical learning experiences during the internship.
The internship has attracted enthusiastic participation from students across diverse disciplines, reflecting the increasing interest in Artificial Intelligence and its applications. Through expert-led sessions, hands-on projects, and industry interactions, the programme seeks to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a collective commitment to fostering innovation, skill development, and technological excellence among the participants.
