Dehradun, 27 Mar: The Government of Uttarakhand has announced that ‘Earth Hour’ will be observed tomorrow (i.e. on 28 March 2026) from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. During this period, residents across the State have been urged by the government to switch off all non-essential lights and electrical appliances for one hour.
This initiative aims to promote the conservation of natural resources, maintain ecological balance, and raise awareness about ensuring a sustainable future for coming generations. The campaign is being organised in response to a communication from WWF India, New Delhi.
Citizens throughout Uttarakhand have been asked to participate actively in this global environmental movement by turning off unnecessary electrical equipment during the designated hour, thereby contributing to the collective effort towards environmental protection and energy conservation.
