Wednesday, 06 March 2024 | my uttarakhand news | DEHRADUN The Union government has released a sum of Rs 559 crore for 33 infrastructure projects in Uttarakhand. The Finance ministry approved the capital expenditure against the additional allocation under part I of the scheme for the special assistance to states for capital investment 2023-24. The Uttarakhand government had sought an assistance of Rs 748.7186 crore under the scheme for 45 projects. Out of these projects the Finance ministry approved assistance of Rs 559 crore for 33 projects. Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the approval. He said that the assistance will give further impetus to the pace of development in the State. The financial assistance has been given for the construction of ISBT- Herbertpur, Dehradun, MLCP parking project, Pithoragarh, construction of various roads in Haridwar, automated mechanised multi level parking in Roorkee, parking of Lakshminarayan and Hatkali temple in Pithoragarh, construction of bus stands in Kichha and Khatima in Udham Singh Nagar, Ranibagh- Kathgodam sewerage system, strengthening of police force, residential building for Police personnel in Udham Singh Nagar, Haridwar and Dehradun, Song dam multipurpose project, construction of Shaurya Sthal in Dehradun and others.
