UPNL Employees Federation thanks Minister Joshi for ‘Equal Pay for Equal Work’

Dehradun, 16 Jan: Office bearers of the UPNL Employees Federation today met Sainik Welfare Minister Ganesh Joshi at his camp office and expressed their gratitude for granting the benefit of equal pay for equal work to UPNL employees who have completed 10 years of continuous service. On this occasion, Minister Ganesh Joshi congratulated the office bearers and extended his best wishes by offering them sweets.
The federation’s representatives stated that this historic decision in favour of UPNL employees was taken by the state government in the Cabinet meeting as a result of the continuous efforts of Sainik Welfare Minister Ganesh Joshi and the directions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
Expressing his gratitude to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and all Cabinet colleagues, Sainik Welfare Minister Ganesh Joshi said that the state government is giving top priority to employee welfare and is consistently working in their interest. He said that the benefit of equal pay for equal post would be extended to UPNL employees in a phased manner. At present, those UPNL employees who have completed 10 years of continuous service will be eligible for this benefit. He reiterated that the government is fully committed to resolving the issues of employees.
On this occasion, MD, UPNL, Brigadier JNS Bisht, State President of UPNL Employees Federation Vinod Godiyal, General Secretary Vinay Prasad, along with other office bearers, were among those present.
