Uttarakhand Board: Opportunity for failed students to pass; marks improvement exams to begin on July 22 – my uttarakhand news

The Uttarakhand Board has announced the schedule for the marks improvement examination. The exams will commence on July 22. Through this process, students will not only be able to improve their marks but also get a chance to pass if they had previously failed their Class 10 or Class 12 examinations. According to Uttarakhand Board Secretary Vinod Prasad Simalty, the examination committee has unanimously decided that the exams—categorized as ‘Year 2026 First’ and ‘Year 2025 Third’—will run from July 22 to July 29. On the first day, July 22, exams will be held for High School Hindi, and Intermediate Hindi, Agriculture, English, and Sanskrit. On July 23, exams are scheduled for High School Urdu and English, and Intermediate History, Geography, Economics, Home Science, Drawing & Painting, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Education, and Military Science. On July 24, exams will take place for High School Sanskrit, and Intermediate Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Accountancy, Business Studies, and Computer Science. Exams for High School Mathematics and Home Science will be held on July 27; High School Science on July 28; and High School Social Science on July 29. Additionally, on July 29, exams for Intermediate Agriculture Botany (Paper II) and certain other subjects will be conducted. Students failing in one or two subjects can take the exam According to Board Secretary Vinod Prasad Simalty, students who failed in two subjects at the High School level or one subject at the Intermediate level are eligible to take the exam. Furthermore, students who feel their marks were low can also appear for the exam to improve their scores. 24,000 students to appear for the exam According to Board Secretary Vinod Prasad Simalty, 13,000 High School students and 11,000 Intermediate students will take the exam. A total of 97 examination centers have been established across the state.
