
A cabinet meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Twenty-eight proposals from various departments were approved. A decision was also made regarding the state’s annual budget. This year, the budget is estimated to be ₹1.10 lakh crore with an increase of 10 percent increase in the budget for the financial year 2026-27.
Key Points of the Dhami Cabinet Meeting
A budget of ₹1.11 lakh crore will be presented for the upcoming financial year. Cabinet approval was received, and CM Dhami was authorized to make amendments to it.
Approval was given to create 14 additional new posts within the UIDB structure and to change the designation of the previously created Assistant General Manager Accounts/Accountant and the honorarium of the office boy.
It has been decided to include 21 non-government aided colleges where regular teachers are appointed in the Chief Minister’s Higher Education Research Promotion Scheme.
The Swami Vivekananda Uttarakhand Library Scheme has been approved under the Higher Education Department.
Amendments were made to the Uttarakhand Forest Department Surveyor Service Rules 2010.
Approval was given to create the post of Environmental Engineer in all 11 municipal corporations under the Urban Development Department. Environmental engineers will be recruited on a contract basis.
Approval was given to the State-of-the-Art Apple Nursery Development Plan 2026.
Approval was given to the Beekeeping Policy 2026.
A decision was made to include new ingredients in the supplies provided to children aged 3 to 6 years under the Chief Minister’s Child Nutrition Campaign – Bal Palash Yojana.
Amendments were made to the Chief Minister’s Women’s Nutrition Scheme. In addition to eggs, milk, and bananas, other nutritious foods will also be made available.
The 24th Annual Report of the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission was approved for tabling in the House.
The State Bench of the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal in Uttarakhand was retained in Dehradun, and an additional State Bench or Circuit Bench was established in Haldwani.
The Uttarakhand Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill was reinstated in the Assembly.
The Bureau of Public Enterprises was transferred from Industrial Development to the Finance Department.
The implementation of the World Bank-funded Uttarakhand Efficient Water Supply Program was approved.
