PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE | Dehradun The State Meteorological Centre has issued an orange warning regarding the possibility of heavy to very heavy rain/thunderstorms accompanied by lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain/gusty winds (30-40 kmph) likely to occur at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Dehradun, Tehri and Rudraprayag districts on Tuesday. The centre has also issued a yellow warning regarding the possibility of heavy rain/thunderstorms accompanied by lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain/gusty wind (30-40 kmph) likely to occur at isolated places in Nainital, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain/gusty wind (30-40 kmph) are likely to occur at isolated places in the remaining districts of the State. Apart from this, light to moderate rain/thunderstorms are likely to occur at most places in all districts of the State today. The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a partly to generally cloudy sky. Few spells of light to moderate rain/thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (40-50 kmph) are likely to occur, of which one or two spells may be intense/heavy in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 31 degrees Celsius and 21 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today. Meanwhile, light to moderate rain was witnessed in various parts of the State on Monday.
