Vice President pays tribute to former CM BC Khanduri at his residence

Dehradun, 20 May: Vice President CP Radhakrishnan arrived in Dehradun this morning and reached the residence of former Chief Minister Maj Gen (Retd) Bhuwan Chandra Khanduri who had passed away yesterday and offered floral tributes to the late leader. He also met members of the bereaved family and conveyed his condolences.
The Vice President shared photographs of the visit on his social media account, stating, that he paid heartfelt tributes to former Union Minister and former CM of Uttarakhand, Major General BC Khanduri, at his residence in Dehradun today. Radhakrishnan added that Khanduri will be remembered as an extraordinary leader, a fine soldier and an experienced administrator who dedicated his life to the service of the nation and its people. His contribution in improving connectivity and strengthening India’s road infrastructure remains an enduring legacy.
Later in the day, the mortal remains of Khanduri were brought to BJP Office at Balbir Road for some time before being taken to Haridwar, where the funeral was held at Kharkhari Ghat this afternoon.
