Mussoorie, 9 Dec: At a meeting that bridged the gap between the Indian literary and technological worlds, Vidushi Nishank, Director of India’s first ‘Lekhak Gaon’, interacted with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. During this meeting, she also extended a formal invitation to Nadella for the upcoming ‘Veda World Peace Conference’ to be held in Uttarakhand. It is being said that this interaction was not only meaningful from a literary perspective but could also prove to be a crucial step in establishing the Indian knowledge tradition on a global platform.Vidushi Nishank provided Nadella with detailed information about the literary, cultural, and intellectual activities undertaken by Lekhak Gaon over the past two years. She explained how this small village in Uttarakhand is now making its creative mark worldwide and emerging as a global intellectual hub.On this occasion, Vidushi Nishank also highlighted the contributions of her father, former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and former Union Education Minister of India, Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’. She explained that the concept of ‘Lekhak Gaon’ was born from the literary vision of Dr Nishank, who has authored more than 120 books. Today, research is being conducted on his literature both in India and abroad, and many scholars are pursuing PhDs on his works.Vidushi Nishank informed Nadella that the upcoming ‘Veda World Peace Conference’ is a historic initiative to bring the Indian knowledge tradition, Vedic culture, and the message of world peace to a global platform. This conference will disseminate India’s spiritual consciousness, universal brotherhood, and cultural richness throughout the world.
Aryan Dev Uniyal, convenor of the BJP Uttarakhand Legal Cell, who was present during the meeting, said that the Writers’ Village initiative in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand is not just a confluence of literature and culture, but also a global message of India’s spiritual leadership. He also stated that the meeting with Nadella was extremely cordial and that he gained a deep understanding of Uttarakhand’s creative energy and cultural soul.
