Welham Boys’ School players excel at National Squash Championship

Dehradun, 15 Dec: The 69th National School Games Squash Championship, organised by School Games of India (SGFI), was held at Emerald Heights World School, Indore, from 11 to 13 December.
The IPSC Boys Under-19 Squash Team delivered an impressive performance, securing the Bronze Medal in the team event after defeating ISSO with a convincing 2–0 scoreline.
Welham Boys’ School, Dehradun, was represented by Tejasva Dhandhania and Atulit Tripathi, both of whom played a crucial role in the team’s success. Adding to the school’s achievements, Atulit Tripathi also won the Bronze Medal in the Boys Under-19 Individual Squash Event, defeating Yash Prashant (Maharashtra) by 3–0 in the bronze medal match. Earlier, Atulit displayed exceptional determination in the semi-finals, narrowly losing 3–2 to the eventual gold medallist Savir Sood (Chandigarh).
This commendable performance highlights the growing strength of squash at Welham Boys’ School and reflects the students’ dedication, discipline, and sporting excellence at the national level.
The opening ceremony was graced by Tulsi Ram Silawat, who inaugurated the championship. The District Education Sports Officer was present during the closing ceremony.
