
PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the copying mafia in the State will not be spared by the government. He said that some vested interests are attempting to defame the recruitment examination system in the State. The CM said this while speaking at the launch of new weekly newspaper in Dehradun on Monday. Speaking on the occasion he claimed that the coming years for Uttarakhand will be marked by stability and development. Dhami said that when he assumed office of CM on July 4, 2021, approximately 22,000 posts were vacant in different departments of the State government. “Now, due to the government’s efforts, over 25,000 youngsters have secured government jobs and not a single case of cheating has been reported,’’ he said. The CM added that the State government has enacted one of the most stringent anti-copying laws in the country to prevent disruptions in the recruitment process and safeguard interests of the students in the State. He said that the government’s decision on anti-copying law has angered some individuals due to which they are trying to defame the government. “Another such attempt was made on Sunday though what happened was not a paper leak. Some copying and coaching mafias are conspiring to defame the government and this will be exposed soon,’’ he said. The CM said that such conspiracies have been orchestrated in the past, but the government thwarted such plots by conducting all examinations with transparency. In response to a question, the CM said that the people of Uttarakhand have chosen development and stability, the coming times of Uttarakhand will be in the name of development and stability. Talking about the recent natural disaster the CM said that this time the entire Himalayan region has been affected by the disaster. He said that he has tried to reach out to the affected people to share their grief and pain. He said that the government is working with scientific institutions in Uttarakhand to identify the causes of disasters, gather advanced information, and minimise damage. Cabinet minister Saurabh Bahuguna, former CM Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, former PCC president Ganesh Godiyal, journalist Pawan Lalchand and others were present on the occasion.
