Wednesday, 17 July 2024 | my uttarakhand news | DEHRADUN The Kedarnath Dham Trust, Delhi, has clarified that it is constructing Kedarnath temple and not a Dham in Delhi. Addressing a Press conference here on Tuesday the founder and chairperson of the Kedarnath Dham Trust, Delhi, Surendra Rautela said that some people are misleading the public on the issue in order to gain political mileage. He said that the trust wants to clarify that Baba Kedarnath Dham in Uttarakhand is a centre of faith for crores of people across the world and it will continue to remain so in the future as well. “We are only constructing Kedarnath temple that is a temple of Lord Shiva in Buradi and it is not the first time that the temple of Baba Bholenath is being constructed in the country,’’ he said. Rautela added that being one of the 12 Jyotirling, there cannot be any replica of Kedarnath. He however gave many examples where the names of Jyotirling were used in temples constructed elsewhere in the country. Similarly, he said that there is a temple in Mumbai named Badrinath and there are many Vaishno Devi temples in different parts of the country.
