
PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun/Haridwar Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the State government is working diligently to ensure that the Kumbh Mela -2027 in Haridwar is organised in a grand manner. The CM visited Daksheshwar Mahadev and Hanumangarhi temples in Haridwar on Monday. After offering prayers he wished for the progress and prosperity of the State as well as the successful organization of the upcoming Kumbh Mela. He said that hosting the Kumbh Mela -2027 in Haridwar is a significant opportunity for the State. He said both Kumbh Mela and the city of Haridwar hold a highly significant place in the country and the world. We are working hard to ensure a divine and grand Kumbh Mela, he said. Dhami said that arrangements are being made to expand the Kumbh Mela area and ensure the convenience, ease and safety of devotees coming to the fair, so that visitors from across the country and the world can return with a positive experience. Expressing gratitude to the saints for their cooperation, the CM urged the saints and local people to continue their support and cooperation in successfully organizing the upcoming Kumbh Mela. The CM also performed a special puja at Daksheshwar Mahadev Temple in Kankhal-Haridwar. On this occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met the officials of various Akharas and saints and took their blessings. The secretary of Shri Panchayati Mahanirvani Akhara, Mahant Ravindra Puri, praised CM Dhami for the measures taken by him for the preservation of culture. He said that the saint community will give full support to the State government for organizing the divine and grand Kumbh in Haridwar. The general secretary of Akhara Parishad, Mahant Rajendra Das, Vaishno Das of Digambar Akhara, Shri Mahant Muralidas of Nirvani Akhara, Kothari Jaswinder Singh of Nirmal Akhara, Raghavendra Das of Bada Udasin Akhara, Jagtar Muni from Naya Akhara, Satya Giri of Atal Akhara, Manoj Giri were present on the occasion. MLAs Madan Kaushik, Adesh Chauhan and Pradeep Batra, former MLAs Swami Yatishwaranand, Sanjay Gupta, BJP district president Ashutosh Sharma, Garhwal commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey, district magistrate Mayur Dixit, senior superintendent of Police Pramod Singh Dobhal and other officers accompanied the CM.
