Dehradun, 21 Jun: Mount Fort Academy celebrated the “Yog Divas” here today to mark International Yoga Day. To keep the alignment of the mind, body and soul, each year, hundreds and thousands of people around the globe, participate in their own domain, to rediscover the ancient yogic science.
This year Mount Fort Academy in partnership with the reputed Lion’s Club Elite of Dehradun and Sunshine Divas hosted the Yog Divas. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest, Savita Kapoor, MLA, Dehradun Cantonment. This was followed by the Yog prayer to invoke the blessings of Sage Patanjali. The event was attended by the teachers, Principal, Directors of Mount Fort Academy, along with prominent members of the Lion’s Club Elite and Sunshine Divas. All members attending the yoga session, put in their best while emulating the instructor, to get the maximum benefit of doing the asanas. After an intense session of an hour and a half, which was equally rejuvenating for the body and the brain, the session came to an end by singing of the National Anthem.
