Dehradun, 29 Sep: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while greeting the youth of Uttarakhand headed for Haryana at his Camp Office on Tuesday, said that such interstate tours provide youth with an opportunity to closely understand the culture, lifestyle, development work, and innovative initiatives of various states in the country.The Chief Minister said that the youth of Uttarakhand should visit various states to learn about their culture, local characteristics, development initiatives, and good government practices, and share useful experiences in the context of Uttarakhand. Similarly, youth from other states are also being given opportunities to visit Uttarakhand and learn about its culture, tourism, local products, and various development and public welfare initiatives being implemented in the state.The Chief Minister said that the spirit of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, launched on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, is also to connect various sections of society, especially the youth, with the commitment to service, public participation, and a developed India. This type of interaction among youth can be an effective medium to understand the good initiatives of various states and share mutual experiences.The Chief Minister urged the youth visiting Haryana to closely observe its rich culture, glorious history, cuisine, sports traditions, agriculture, and local lifestyle. He urged them to interact with local youth, athletes, farmers, and people doing remarkable work in various fields and learn about their experiences.The Chief Minister emphasised that Uttarakhand’s youth travel to other states as representatives of the state. Therefore, they should also educate people about the rich culture, folk festivals, local cuisine, tourist destinations, homestays, local products, millets, and handicrafts of the Devbhoomi. He emphasised that Uttarakhand, along with the Char Dham, also has Adi Kailash, Jageshwar, Kainchi Dham, winter tourism, adventure tourism, and numerous other tourist destinations, information about which should reach as many people as possible across the country.The Chief Minister emphasised that youth can play an important role in spreading the word about the products produced by women self-help groups and local artisans to other states. He said that such programmes should not be limited to mere excursions, but rather serve as a medium for the exchange of youth, culture, experiences, and ideas from different states. This will give youth an opportunity to understand the country’s diversity and learn from the good work being done in various fields.
