Registration for the Chardham Yatra 2026 will begin on March 6th. Furthermore, there will be no registration fee. As part of the Chardham Yatra 2026, the doors of Kedarnath Dham will open on April 22nd and Badrinath Dham on April 23rd.
The doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham traditionally open on Akshaya Tritiya, which falls on April 19th. However, the opening date is yet to be announced. Government departments have also begun preparations for the Chardham Yatra. A meeting has already been held under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary. The Secretary of the Public Works Department has inspected the Yatra route.
Tourism Secretary Dhiraj Singh Garbyal stated that registration for the Chardham Yatra will begin on March 6th. Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey stated that online registration will begin now. Once the Yatra begins, offline registration will also be available. Commissioner Pandey stated that a proposal for a registration fee had been submitted, but it has not been agreed upon. No registration fee will be charged.
