CHAMOLI, 28 Dec: State Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi today visited Gauchar in Chamoli district to review the preparations for the Kisan Diwas 2025 programme scheduled to be held on 29 December. During the visit, he inspected the programme venue along with departmental officials and local public representatives and issued instructions to finalise all necessary arrangements.
During the inspection, the Agriculture Minister directed officials to ensure that all preparations for this state level programme, being organised on the theme, “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan”, are completed in a timely, well organised, and smooth manner.
Joshi said that direct interaction with farmers will take place during the Kisan Diwas conference. The event will also be broadcast live across 95 development blocks of the state. The main state level programme will be held at the Gauchar ground, where Kisan Diwas 2025 will be formally inaugurated in the presence of Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
He further said that the conference will feature stalls showcasing local products, interactions with farmers, a platform for agri-startups, and the felicitation of farmers who have done outstanding work. This will provide farmers an opportunity to connect with new technologies and innovations.
