Dehradun, 11 Dec: Governor Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd) and First Lady Gurmeet Kaur distributed blankets to needy individuals from Shiv Mandir Brahmpuri, and KKM Society, Nalapani, at the Lok Bhawan here today.
Considering the severity of the winter season, this distribution programme was organied to support vulnerable sections of society. The Governor personally interacted with the beneficiaries and wished them good health.
The Governor said that extending help to the needy during the cold season is a humanitarian duty. He appealed to all social organisations, volunteers, and citizens to come forward and contribute to supporting those in need so that no individual suffers due to adverse weather conditions.
