
BrahMos Missile model unveiled at Graphic Era

Dehradun, 14 Apr: CEO and MD of BrahMos Aerospace, Dr Jaiteerth R Joshi said on Monday that BrahMos is not just a missile, but a powerful symbol of national pride, unity, self-reliance, and the nation’s ever-growing strength. He unveiled a full-scale model of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile at Graphic Era Deemed to be University.
A special programme was organised at Graphic Era Deemed to be University for the unveiling of the full-scale model of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile. Addressing the gathering, Dr Jaiteerth R Joshi said that BrahMos is the result of a glorious historical journey, representing the remarkable achievement of scientists, engineers, academicians, and technical experts over more than two and a half decades. Calling it an important pillar of the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, he said that BrahMos is playing a key role in taking India to new heights on the global stage. He added that youth are not just the future of the country but the real creators of its direction and destiny, capable of developing future technologies and leading the nation forward.

Dr Joshi appreciated Chairman of Graphic Era Group of Institutions, Dr. Kamal Ghanshala, stating that he is making significant contributions to nation-building and providing excellent facilities and modern infrastructure to students. He said that Dr Ghanshala’s efforts are preparing students for the industry while also making them capable of representing the nation. He also administered a pledge to contribute actively to the nation’s progress and take India to new global heights.
Former CEO and MD of BrahMos Aerospace and Member of the Executive Council at Graphic Era, Dr Sudhir Kumar Mishra described BrahMos as a symbol of speed, precision, and power, and said that it teaches youth the importance of discipline and efficiency in achieving their goals. He urged students to develop knowledge, innovation, and skills, become self-reliant, move towards startups, and actively contribute to the nation’s progress.
Chairman of Graphic Era Group of Institutions, Dr Kamal Ghanshala asserted that great scientists are known for their simplicity, high thinking, dedication to the nation, and passion for their work. He stated that institutions like DRDO and ISRO have enhanced India’s pride through technological excellence, where scientists prioritise national service over personal opportunities. The BrahMos missile is a prime example of this, which has given India a strong global identity. He added that Graphic Era students are getting selected in these institutions and achieving new heights in the aerospace sector.
During the programme, Dr Kamal Ghanshala felicitated Chief Guest Dr Jaiteerth R Joshi and Special Guest Dr Sudhir Kumar Mishra by presenting mementos.
The programme was organized by the Department of Aerospace Engineering of Graphic Era Deemed to be University. The event was attended by Vice Chancellor Dr Narpinder Singh, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr Santosh S Saraf, Registrar Dr Naresh Kumar Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Graphic Era Hill University, Dr Amit R Bhatt, Head of Aerospace Engineering Department Dr Sudhir Joshi, along with other officials, faculty members, and students.
