

CM celebrates birthday with divyang children in Doon

Dehradun, 16 Sep: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami celebrated his birthday today at the National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities in Dehradun (NIEPVD) at Rajpur Road, here, where he spent time with children studying at the institute. He cut a cake with them and shared the joy of the occasion in an atmosphere filled with warmth and affection.
The CM also interacted with the children with empathy and encouragement and spent time in their company which left them excited and delighted. He said that the moments spent among children bring new energy and inspiration to life, and added that every child possesses immense talent and potential which must be nurtured with opportunities, encouragement and confidence. He emphasised that empowerment of persons with disabilities is not limited to government efforts alone but is a collective responsibility of society.
He emphasised that strong willpower, self-confidence and continuous effort can overcome every challenge in life.
On the occasion, he urged the children to pursue their goals with faith and enthusiasm and wished them a bright future. He said that it is the responsibility of society to provide equal opportunities, respect and a conducive environment for every individual. The affection of the children and the happiness on their faces, he remarked, was the most special and memorable gift of his birthday.
On this occasion, Geeta Pushkar Dhami, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi and teachers of the institute were among those present.
