4 dead many missing in the disaster PIONEER NEWS SERVICE/ Uttarkashi  At least four people died and many others are feared missing in a major disaster, the Dharali village located between Harsil and Gangotri in Uttarkashi district on Tuesday. As per the initial reports a cloudburst triggered massive flood in the Kheer Ganga rivulet causing severe damage to life and property. The State administration with the help of Army, Police and SDRF has launched a rescue operation. Many hotels and homestays are believed to have been swept away by the surging waters of Kheer Ganga. The district magistrate of Uttarkashi Prashant Arya said that the help of an Army unit located nearby has been sought. He said that rescue teams of NDRF, SDRF, Army and Police have been deployed in the affected area for relief and rescue operations.   Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is continuously monitoring the situation and has directed the administration to undertake relief and rescue operations on war footing.
