PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted a surprise inspection of the transit camp for pilgrims in Rishikesh on Wednesday to review the arrangements for the ongoing Char Dham Yatra. In his visit, he inspected the registration, health check-up counter and accommodation arrangements for pilgrims. The CM also took feedback on the pilgrimage from a large number of pilgrims who had come from other States. He directed the officers that it should be ensured that pilgrims do not have to wait for registration. The CM also inspected the health check-up centres and directed that special care for the health of pilgrims should be done. During the inspection, he also observed the accommodation arrangements for pilgrims. In view of the increasing heat, he directed that additional coolers be installed in the transit camp and that drinking water and other essential facilities be made available in adequate quantities. Instructing officials to ensure better crowd management, Dhami said that the safety and convenience of pilgrims coming for the Char Dham Yatra should be the top priority. He also interacted with the officials and employees working in the transit camp. He also interacted with pilgrims present at the transit camp and took feedback on the travel arrangements. The pilgrims with whom the CM interacted praised the arrangements made for the Char Dham Yatra.
