
Last rites of Brig Mukesh Joshi (Retd) held at Tapkeshwar Crematorium

Dehradun, 1 Apr: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the Johri residence of retired Brigadier Mukesh Joshi here today to pay his respects to the departed soul. The Chief Minister met members of the bereaved family and conveyed his condolences, praying for peace to the departed soul and strength to the grieving relatives.
In addition, Sainik Kalyan Minister Ganesh Joshi and former Chief Minister Harish Rawat were also among the dignitaries that visited and condoled the bereaved family.
The mortal remains of Joshi were consigned to flames at the crematorium in Tapkeshwar today with full military honours in the presence of his family and friends including a large number of retired army personnel. Veteran Congress leader Harish Rawat also attended the funeral and paid his tribute to Brig Mukesh Joshi.
Earlier, expressing deep sorrow over the unfortunate incident, the CM assured that strict action would be taken against those found guilty. He emphasised that public safety remains the foremost priority of the government and directed officials to intensify ‘Operation Prahaar’ across the state to curb undesirable and unruly elements. He made it clear that those attempting to disrupt law and order would not be spared under any circumstances.
On this occasion, Sainik Kalyan Minister Ganesh Joshi was also present.
