PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed gratitude to all the devotees of Lord Shiva who had participated in the Kanwad Mela 2026. In a message on social media, the CM said that about five crore devotees visited Haridwar during Kanwad period this year.   “This year, Uttarakhand witnessed a grand display of devotion, where the faith of millions of Shiva devotees was accompanied by a remarkable combination of service, discipline and order. The arrival of such a large number of devotees reflects their unwavering devotion to Lord Shiva and their faith in Uttarakhand’s tradition of service and hospitality. I pray to Mahadev that his blessings remain on all Shiva devotees and everyone’s wishes are fulfilled,’’ he said. The CM also praised administration, police, health department, disaster management team, sanitation workers, voluntary organizations, religious and social organizations and local residents for a safe and well organised Kanwad Yatra this year.
