my uttarakhand news | DEHRADUN Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the State government is consistently working for all-round development of Uttarakhand according to the aspirations of the people. He said this after launching development works worth Rs 110.56 crore at Kashipur on Sunday. The CM said that the Vidhan Sabha had passed a strong land law bill and that a strict land law is being brought in accordance with the sentiments of the people of the State. He further said that Uttarrakhand has become the first State to implement the Uniform Civil Code. The implementation of the UCC is writing a new chapter in women empowerment and is also proving to be a safety shield for women, Dhami averred. Earlier, Dhami laid the foundation for seven development works amounting to Rs 48.61 crore and inaugurated 12 development works constructed at a cost of Rs 61.95 crore. Addressing the gathering after taking out a road show in the city, he thanked the people of Kashipur for electing a ‘triple-engine’ government to office. “The State government will make all effort to fulfill the trust placed by the people of Kashipur in it. We will work with dedication to execution development works at a threefold pace. In this direction, various development works costing about Rs 111 crore have been launched for Kashipur today. I am confident that all these projects will not only enhance the basic facilities in the region but will also enable the provision of better services to the citizens and boost economic development in the region,” the CM said. Dhami also talked about the various development works and public welfare schemes being executed across the State including in Kashipur, along with the impact they are having on improving the life of the people. He said that the State is achieving new dimensions in development and prosperity under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and guidance. Nainital-Udham Singh Nagar MP Ajay Bhatt and others were also present on the occasion.
