Dehradun, 6 Feb: The State Agriculture Minister, Ganesh Joshi, was paid a courtesy visit today at his official residence by Swati Khanduri Dimri, Co-founder of the House of Swasha brand (a private enterprise). On this occasion, Swati Khanduri Dimri presented apparel made of bamboo, produced under the House of Swasha brand, to the Agriculture Minister.
During the meeting, Swati Khanduri Dimri shared details of the sustainable and eco-friendly fashion initiatives being undertaken by House of Swasha. She informed him that the brand works with 100 percent natural and environmentally friendly materials, focusing on ethical production practices and promoting local artisans. The brand’s latest offerings include a bamboo range of classic-fit tops and bamboo-made socks, along with a premium organic cotton men’s collection. All these garments are made from 100 percent organic and natural materials, ensuring maximum comfort with minimal environmental impact.
Appreciating this initiative, Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi stated that bamboo-based products would be linked with farmers in the state to help enhance their income. He said that the state government is also working at various levels to promote bamboo-based products. He further added that bamboo-based products would be encouraged across the state to promote bamboo production, its multiple benefits, and sustainable industries. This, he said, would directly benefit farmers and strengthen the rural economy.
