Dhami sanctions Rs 135 crores for development works across U’khand

Dehradun, 7 May: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved financial sanction of Rs 135 crores for various development schemes across districts of Uttarakhand, directing that the released funds be utilised in a time-bound and transparent manner to accelerate public welfare projects. He emphasised that the sanctioned amount must be spent strictly in accordance with prescribed standards to ensure effective implementation.
Among the approvals, an amount of Rs 79.87 lakhs has been sanctioned for the remaining work of the under-construction Parvatiya Vikas Bhawan in Sitarganj constituency of Udham Singh Nagar, an amount of Rs 20.41 lakhs for construction of a shed at the Shaheed site in Khatima, an amount of Rs 49.86 lakhs for reconstruction and beautification of Nag Devta temple at Virad in Dhanolti area of Tehri district, an amount of Rs 98.59 lakhs for beautification of Surya Devi temple at Palethi Bangarh in Devprayag, and an amount of Rs 35 lakhs for restoration and beautification of historic buildings at Dantu village in Dharchula area of Pithoragarh district.
Besides this, Dhami has also approved release of Rs 2.75 crores for establishment expenditure of the Dr RS Tolia Uttarakhand Academy of Administration, Nainital, and Rs 7.57 crores for establishment expenditure of the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission. In addition, Rs 35.74 crores, representing 50 per cent of the provisioned amount, has been released for various establishments of the police department, while Rs 1 crore has been sanctioned for the Home Guards department.
Under the Right to Education Act, Rs 84.89 crores has been released as the second instalment of fee reimbursement for children studying in private schools during the financial year 2025–26. Dhami has also approved naming of the Molan-Khandah-Bhintai motor road in Pauri Garhwal district after martyr Kamal Singh Negi, recognising his sacrifice.
