‘FLOCAL’ magazine launched, film ‘Haq’ screened at Lekhak Gaon

Dehradun, 3 Feb: FICCI FLO organised a grand launch of FLO Magazine 2025–26 titled ‘FLOCAL’ at Lekhak Gaon in Thano today, marking a celebration of women’s voices, vision and empowerment while encouraging global thinking rooted in local values. The event also featured a special screening of the film ‘Haq’, which portrayed women’s courage, their decision-making abilities and their quiet yet resilient inner strength.
Addressing the gathering on this occasion, chief guest and BJP’s State General Secretary Deepti Rawat Bhardwaj said that every person has an important role to play in building a Developed India and emphasised that women possess immense capability and strength to make meaningful contributions to the progress of society and the nation. She noted that empowering women is integral to inclusive and sustainable development.

Special guest Vidushi Pokhariyal, author and Director of Lekhak Gaon, highlighted the significance of Lekhak Gaon as a vibrant centre of literature, culture and ideas. She shared an emotional narrative of the journey of Lekhak Gaon, from its ancient temple roots to the establishment of its rich library, and described it as not only a creative hub but also a powerful platform for dialogue, introspection and the exchange of ideas. She also urged the women to understand and remain aware of their rights and encouraged them to move forward confidently in the field of entrepreneurship, inspiring them to pursue self-reliance.
Former Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Dr Geeta Khanna, Shalini Dhanda, Roopa Soni, Mamta Rawat, Shruti Gupta, Namrata Sharma, Anjali Verma and Sunita Vidyarthi, among others, were also present on the occasion, and they lent their support to the initiative celebrating women-led narratives and local-global connect.
