
CM hands over appointment letters to 276 candidates

Dehradun, 1 Jun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today handed over appointment letters to 276 candidates selected under the departments of Town and Country Planning, Technical Education, Women Empowerment and Child Development and Forest. The ceremony was held at the hall at the CM’s camp office. Of the 276 candidates who were handed over the appointment letters today, 109 candidates have been selected for the forest department, 88 for the Women Empowerment and Child Development, 65 for the Technical Education, and 14 for the Town and Country Planning department.
Extending his best wishes to the newly appointed candidates, the CM hoped for a bright future ahead.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Dhami said that receiving an appointment letter is not merely an achievement but the beginning of a new responsibility of public service. He added that the success attained by the youth is the result of years of hard work, discipline, struggle and patience, which reflects their talent, confidence and dedication. The CM asserted that the state government has taken significant steps to make recruitment processes completely transparent, fair and accountable. He noted that the strictest anti-copying law in the country has been implemented in Uttarakhand to curb corruption and the copying mafia, ensuring that merit and qualification alone form the basis of success for the youth.
The CM also reminded that, in the past four and a half years, nearly 33,000 youths have been inducted into government services purely on the basis of transparency and merit. He urged the newly appointed personnel to prioritise public service through efficiency, honesty, sensitivity and dedication. He observed that when capable and diligent youth join the system, the benefits of development schemes reach the last person in society.
Highlighting the importance of the roles assigned, he said that personnel in the Town and Country Planning Department will contribute to planned development in the state, those in Technical Education will provide new direction to the technical learning and skill development, those in Women Empowerment and Child Development will carry out crucial tasks related to maternal and child welfare while those in the Forest Department will play a vital role in conserving the state’s forest wealth and biodiversity.
Dhami also observed that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the nation is advancing with the resolve of a developed India by 2047 and that the state government is working with the vision of a developed Uttarakhand. He said that rapid progress is being made in infrastructure, investment is increasing, and new opportunities are being created for the youth. He claimed that the government is promoting a work culture where delivery is valued more than announcements, results more than promises, and development more than politics. Expressing confidence, he said that the newly appointed youth will discharge their responsibilities with full dedication and contribute significantly to the development of Uttarakhand and fulfil the expectations of the people.
On this occasion, Cabinet Ministers Subodh Uniyal, Dhan Singh Rawat, Rekha Arya, Khajan Das, Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, MLA Savita Kapoor, Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu, Secretaries Ranjit Kumar Sinha, Chandresh Kumar and Dr R Rajesh Kumar and officers of the departments concerned were among those present.
