Dehradun, 15 Apr: Senior journalist Sudesh Istwal, aged 48, passed away late last night at Mahant Indresh Hospital here after a long battle with illness. His funeral was performed today in Haridwar. Istwal leaves behind his wife, a schoolteacher, and two daughters.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed grief over the demise of Sudesh Istwal and has prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family. Several dignitaries including cabinet ministers and political leaders cutting across political spectrum have condoled passing away of Istwal.
Director General, Information, Banshidhar Tiwari also conveyed his condolences and he has wished solace to the grieving relatives and eternal peace for the departed.
