PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that in today’s changing times, it is essential to connect youth with AI, robotics, digital, modern and demand-driven skills. He said that the government’s goal is not only to prepare youth for employment but also to encourage them to create jobs through entrepreneurship and self-employment. The CM interacted with 140 students selected from across the state under ‘Mukhyamantri Yuwa Vidhyarthi Manthan’ programme held at his residence on Friday. In the programme he sought the students’ ideas, suggestions and their vision for the future of Uttarakhand. He stated that efforts would be made to integrate the useful and practical suggestions received from the youth into the State government’s plans and policymaking. In the programme, the CM also felicitated the students who presented excellent ideas in various sub-topics of ‘Chief Minister Yuva Vidyarthi Manthan’. Congratulating all the selected students, the CM said that 267,744 students from across the State shared their ideas and suggestions in the campaign. He said that students have provided very good suggestions on many important topics such as education, health, tourism, roads, forests and environment, sports, migration, self-employment, start-ups and creating new employment opportunities in villages. The thinking and innovation of youth can play a vital role in building a developed Uttarakhand. Dhami averred that dialogue between the government and the youth should continue. Referring to the interaction between senior IAS officers of the government and students during the program, he said that such brainstorming between the administration and the youth will contribute to new thinking and better policy-making. The CM opined that industrial and economic activities are being expanded to create more employment and livelihood opportunities in the mountainous regions. Exhorting the students to dream big, work hard and have faith in their abilities, the CM said that persistent hard work is essential to achieving goals. Secretary Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Chandresh Kumar, Jyoti Yadav, Dhiraj Garbyal,C Ravishanker and other senior officers attended the programme.
