PIONEER NEWS SERVICE | Dehradun Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the Indian government has given a befitting reply to Pakistan by suspending the Indus Waters Treaty. The action comes in the wake of the Pahalgam massacre of tourists by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. The CM said that action against terror has started and under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) has taken historic and tough decisions against terrorism Dhami said that these bold steps taken under the leadership of the PM Modi not only endorse India’s zero tolerance policy against terrorism, but have also sent a clear message to the enemies that India is ready to give a befitting reply to every terrorist attack. He said that by suspending the Indus Waters Treaty, the Central government has made it clear that now blood and water cannot flow together. This decisive step will shatter the plans of Pakistan, which shelters and promotes terrorism. Similarly, other decisions including the closure of the Attari border check post have also sent a strong message to Pakistan which supports terrorist activities against India, Dhami said.
