Mussoorie, 10 May: A major road accident was averted in Mussoorie on Sunday afternoon when a Brezza car, traveling from Dehradun to Mussoorie, went out of control and plunged off the road into a ravine below. The incident caused momentary panic at the site; however, thanks to the promptness of the police and local residents, all the tourists aboard the car were safely rescued. According to reports, the incident occurred around 1 p.m. on the Dehradun route, approximately 100 metres before the Kolukhet Police Post in Mussoorie.
A white Brezza car, bearing a temporary registration number, was traveling from Dehradun towards Mussoorie when the driver suddenly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road to the left and plunge downhill. Upon receiving information about the incident, a police team immediately rushed to the spot, took charge of traffic management, and halted the movement of vehicles on the road. With the assistance of local residents, the police safely extracted the four individuals trapped inside the car.
The tourists traveling in the car were identified as Satish Kumar, Sanjeev, Sohan Lal, and Prince. All the tourists are reported to be residents of the Panchkula-Hisar region of Haryana. Fortunately, no one sustained any injuries in the accident. Subsequently, with the help of locals, the police retrieved the vehicle, moved it to a safe spot on the roadside, and restored the smooth flow of traffic. The tourists from Haryana expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the Mussoorie Police’s swift response and assistance.
