The Uttarakhand Meteorological Centre has issued a weather alert valid until April 8. According to this alert, the state is expected to experience rainfall from April 3 to April 8. During this period, rain will occur in select districts on some days, while on others, rainfall will be widespread across the entire state.
Weather Department Issues Forecast
According to the Weather Department, rain is predicted in 12 out of Uttarakhand’s 13 districts on Friday, April 3. Only one district is expected to remain dry, receiving no rainfall. In addition to rain in the state’s hilly districts, snowfall is anticipated in locations situated at altitudes of 3,500 meters or higher.
Rain Expected in These Districts on Friday
According to the Weather Department’s forecast, light to moderate rainfall is expected at isolated places in Uttarakhand’s Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh districts on Friday, April 3. The remaining hilly districts of the state, as well as Haridwar, may witness very light to light rainfall at a few locations. The Udham Singh Nagar district is expected to remain dry.

Rain Across the Entire State on Saturday
On Saturday, April 4, light to moderate rainfall is expected at numerous locations across the state’s Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh districts. An ‘Orange Alert’ will remain in effect for these five districts. The remaining hilly districts are expected to receive light to moderate rainfall at some locations. Additionally, snowfall is anticipated in these hilly districts at altitudes of 3,300 meters and above. On this day, rainfall is also expected in Udham Singh Nagar, alongside Haridwar.
Weather Forecast for Sunday
On Sunday, April 5, light to moderate rainfall is expected at isolated locations across all districts of Uttarakhand. Furthermore, snowfall is anticipated in the hilly districts at altitudes of 3,300 meters and above. The districts located in the plains may experience very light to light rainfall at a few scattered locations.
