PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/Dehradun The Bharatiya Janata Party MPs and MLAs from the Garhwal region had a meeting with the party’s State president and Rajya Sabha member Mahendra Bhatt and chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami regarding the 2027 Vidhan Sabha elections. They were told to take forward developmental and public welfare works of the government to ensure the victory of the party in the polls. Interacting with the media, Dhami said that the party is holding such serial meetings, citing the party meetings of municipal bodies, mayors, Nagar Panchayat chiefs, district Panchayat heads and block Pramukhs. Addressing the party’s elected representatives, the CM said that they should strive to ensure that all know about the developmental and public welfare works of the ‘double-engine’ government. Citing the disasters being experienced in different parts of the State during the ongoing monsoon, the CM asked the party workers to coordinate with party workers to provide all possible assistance to those in need. “All of our workers and public representatives should together serve the public and accord priority to the works which can be executed within the deadline,” he said. Bhatt told the media that all Vidhan Sabha constituencies in the three Lok Sabha constituencies in Garhwal were discussed in detail with the elected representatives and others. The party discussed the programmes which should be held to ensure its victory in the Assembly elections. The MLAs should tour every area of their constituency. Discussions were also held on the works which the party can be done in the Vidhan Sabha areas in coordination with the government which can also benefit the BJP politically. The party also discussed when and where programmes related to youth, women and ex-servicemen can be held. Bhatt said that the MLAs informed the party about the issues communicated by the locals and the suggested solutions. The party’s State leadership stated that the coordination with the party workers should be improved further. On being asked about the seats the BJP lost last time and where it is perceived to be weak, Bhatt said that the party held deliberations on all the seats. Detailed discussions were held on all the 70 seats across the State, he said.
