my uttarakhand news | DEHRADUN With board exams also to be held during the budget session of the Vidhan Sabha starting here on February 18, speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan directed officials to ensure that school children and ambulances do not face any traffic issues. Chairing a meeting with officials here on Sunday to review the security and arrangements for the session, the speaker stressed that there should be no traffic hindrance for students going to school and ambulances during the Assembly session. She said that a system should be ensured for students going to appear in the board examination with measures including traffic advisory and advisory to the schools to prevent any inconvenience to the students. Referring to security measures, she directed the Vidhan Sabha secretariat and police officials to ensure that there is no security lapse in the Assembly. The speaker further said that this will be the first time when the session will be conducted also under the National e-Vidhan Application- NeVA. Considering this, she directed the Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA) to appoint two engineers in the Assembly during the session for providing technical assistance to the members. The Vidhan Sabha secretariat was directed to enhance the bandwidth speed of the network for improved internet service. Representatives of the internet service providers should also remain present at the Assembly during the session, she said. It was also decided that wi-fi facility will be provided in the entire Vidhan Sabha compound. The speaker clarified that nobody will be allowed to bring a vehicle into the Assembly compound with a valid pass. Further, entry passes will be issued for one visitor on the recommendation of MLAs and to two visitors on the recommendation of ministers, she said. Further, she also restricted the use of mobile phones in the house to maintain discipline. Bhushan said that the video recording and webcasting of the house proceedings will be facilitated by the Information and Public Relations department and the ITDA to ensure that the Vidhan Sabha proceedings are relayed in a transparent manner to the public.
