PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Haridwar Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the reduction in GST rates has instilled enthusiasm in all sections of the society. He was addressing a programme organised at Har Ki Paidi in Haridwar on Saturday. The programme was part of a series of events organised under the GST Bachat Ustav. Interacting with the general public and shopkeepers the CM said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi efforts are being made to ensure that the benefit of the economic reforms and development reaches to every section of the society. He said that the economy of the State and the country is poised for a revolutionary change under GST 2.0. He added that the economy of the State will get a major boost due to GST 2.0. In his address, Dhami also appealed to the general public to encourage the local products under the Swadeshi Abhiyan and contribute in making the economy of the State and country powerful and self-reliant. He said that the adoption of Swadeshi articles will encourage the local economy and support the artisans. In the programme, the traders and shopkeepers extended a warm welcome to the CM and expressed happiness on reduction in GST rates. CM pasted the stickers on GST awareness on the shops and requested that the benefit of the reduced GST rates be passed on completely to the customers. Haridwar MLA Madan Kaushik, MLA Adesh Chauhan, Pradeep Batra and others accompanied the CM.
